Public safety and retail crime webinar recording

Contact: AWC online learning

90% of Washington cities have reported an increase in property crimes including theft, vandalism, and break-ins, according to AWC’s most recent City Conditions Survey. At a time when Washington businesses are still recovering from the impacts of the pandemic and high inflation, public safety in retail spaces is more important than ever.

Mark Johnson, Sr. Vice President of Policy and Government Affairs at the Washington Retail Association, joined AWC staff for a conversation and Q&A about public safety, retail theft, and organized crime impacting Washington communities.

  • Get up to speed on retail crime trends in Washington
  • Learn how to prevent retail crime in your community
  • Discover strategies for responding when these property crimes occur

This recording is for elected officials, city managers, city administrators, city attorneys, police chiefs, and interested staff from AWC member cities and towns.

Recorded: July 2023
