Keeping "PACE" in commercial real estate

Contact: AWC online learning

Washington’s commercial property assessed clean energy and resiliency (C-PACER) legislation (HB 2405), passed by the Legislature during the 2020 regular session, went into effect June 11, 2020. The C-PACER program is now available for counties to implement. If adopted, a C-PACER program allows commercial property owners within the county (and the cities within) to access additional private financing for qualifying energy efficiency, renewable energy, water conservation, and resiliency improvements for their buildings. Since 2005, similar C-PACER programs have expanded financing options for over 2,500 property owners, amounting to more than 2 billion dollars of investment in many states. View this recorded webinar to find answers to all your questions about this innovative program:

  • What is C-PACER? How does it work? Why is it important to city officials?
  • Why is C-PACER an economic opportunity for commercial property owners, cities and counties?
  • How do counties implement C-PACER? What is the current status of C-PACER implementation in WA? What can city officials do to help ensure this option is available?

This webinar is for elected officials, city attorneys, city administrators/managers, and community development and permitting staff.

Recorded: September 2021
